I began my recording career at the age of 11 when the Canberra
Children's Choir recorded at EMI
Studios in Sydney. I'll never forget the thrill of working in a controlled
acoustic environment and the pleasure of creating music that was for ever.
I've lost count of the number of recording sessions I've been part of. They
number above 500! I bought my first Multi-track machine in early twenties
having spent many weekends of teenage life recording with school friends.
My knowledge of recording has come directly from session experience. Increasingly,
I am asked to record tracks for clients who sends me MP3 or Wav files via
email and I can return the completed tracks via YOUSENDIT
or other files transfer methods even DVDs or CDs in the post. It's a great
way to get a performance from someone far away... though we all still love
the magic that only happens when we are all in the same space at the same
time.
